Release date for gran turismo sport11/27/2022 ![]() ![]() GT7 wants to be fun like all the other older games, but it MIGHT BE lacking on content and be just too serious for a casual player. I’m not talking about the physics, I’m talking about appeal. To the point where there is not a slightest camera shake in interior, it’s like you’re a GoPro monted to the chassis, or a robot. But GTS is not a fun game, it’s focused on SIM racing. And of course, those older models take way less time to model and implement, but that was a huge step up.Īnd the fun factor? GT3 and older games are so beloved because they were…just fun. Of course, with updates they will bring more, but how much? 100 cars? 200 if we’re living in a fantasy world? That gives us about 80 new cars in total. Not to mention Gran Turismo Sport is PlayStation VR compatible and will be a great launch title for the device. It says that GT7 will have roughly 420 cars at launch, which is a lot, don’t get me wrong, but GTS has 340 cars, and I bet they are all going to be ported to GT7, since this is just a souped-up GTS. It’s possible the release date could be true as Sony is likely to make more announcements at E3 2016 happening next month. I feel like there’s a bit of a lack of content. I think GT6 at the end might of had overall more content then any GT series. Although previous GT games had some form of online mode dating back to a limited release of Gran Turismo 4 in 2006, Sport was the first title to center on competitive online racing, with player rankings. Both had large car count, lots of events. ![]() I do think GT5 and GT6 were good at the end of their life span. We all hope GT7 can bring back some of the glory days. Release Date: 4 October 2019 Buy via the PlayStationStore Content Information: Includes 'Gran Turismo Sport' version 1.39. I remember on GT5 demo, running some events where if you hit a car while you were going say over a certain speed (event over) – that was challenging to some degree. I moved on for any series racing, but man oh man they leave so much on the table that they can be making use of. Wished they would use tire wear, and fuel in the GT events or give us the option. Just think if the GT events could be more like Project Cars, set weather, time of day, numbers of laps within reason for the event. There are so many things that could be done to get way more value out of the game and much better experience for all. Even with just using the tools that they have (what the game is currently capable of). Chasing the rabbit in GT offline events is just dumb now days. No major improvements to A.I., to sound, to racing in general. The GT series is still the same as it always has been. Except for a few things like graphics, maybe user interface, photo mode etc. Not that I have any internet issues, just do no think it is right for those that do not have decent internet. If however they require to be connected to internet every time – not so sure. I would only get it for very casual play, car collecting, photo mode. With all of the big cross-generational games coming to both the PS4 and PS5 in 2021, it’s likely that most PlayStation fans on current-gen consoles will still find lots to enjoy, but racing fans will apparently need to upgrade to the PS5.I will probably end up getting GT7 since can still play on PS4, but that’s the only reason. Polyphony Digital is apparently planning to release Gran Turismo 7 in the first half of 2021, but because of developers working from home around the world, these plans may change, which is likely why no official release date was confirmed. The most recent game in the series, 2017’s Gran Turismo Sport, trailed the PlayStation 4 by four years Gran Turismo 5 also followed the PlayStation 3 by four years. Gran Turismo 7 will be the first GT game to release since 2017’s Gran Turismo Sport when it releases in 2021. Gran Turismo Sport is available exclusively for the PS4, while GT 7 is expected to be exclusive to the PS5. The next GT game is currently planned for the first half of 2021, but it has no official release date as of now. During the Gran Turismo 7 segment of the showcase, no reference to the PS4 was made and Polyphony Digital currently plans to have it ready next year. ![]() During a recent PS5 video highlight, Gran Turismo 7 was teased as a PS5 exclusive, rather than a cross-generational title like Horizon: Forbidden West or God of War. ![]()
